BJP will fight Bihar polls on good governance, development: Rajnath Singh
The upcoming election in Bihar will not be contested in the name of cast or religion. BJP will win the elections on the basis of good governance and development, he told reporters.

Ghaziabad: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday expressed confidence in winning the forthcoming Bihar Assembly elections with a majority, stating that the fight will be based on the plank of "good governance and development".

The upcoming election in Bihar will not be contested in the name of cast or religion. BJP will win the elections on the basis of good governance and development, he told reporters.

Singh was paying a visit to Rajya Sabha MP KC Tyagi's residence in Ghaziabad, to condole the death of his younger brother.

The Union Minister said that the Centre has released Rs 253 crore in advance to Uttar Pradesh government for distribution among the hailstorm affected farmers but that "was not distributed honestly and properly".

He, however, refused to comment on the Lalitgate row, involving senior leaders from his party.

On being asked about the tussle between Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, he said that both must run the government with co-ordination and mutual understanding.
