New Delhi: Asserting that Congress was responsible for the ruckus created in Lok Sabha over Telangana, senior BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain said after the House got adjourned, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit's son Sandeep Dikshit and other Congress leaders abused four TDP MPs.
When asked if the BJP will raise the issue in Parliament, Hussain said, "Sushma Swaraj and I have met the Speaker and raised the issue with her. I'll raise the issue in the House as well."
There seems to be no respite from the protest over Telangana with Parliament being regularly disrupted. The presiding officers of both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha had to suspend unrelenting MPs following an uproar over the issue. The Lok Sabha has been adjourned for the day after continued protests over Telangana by the MPs.
Four TDP MPs and five Congress MPs from Andhra Pradesh have been suspended for five days from the Lok Sabha while two TDP MPs in Rajya Sabha have been suspended for the day for protesting over the issue.
Meanwhile, Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde has said that the Cabinet note on Telangana is being prepared and will soon be sent to the Law Ministry. After an approval from the Law Ministry, it will be put forward in the Cabinet. The Home Minister has given a time frame of 20 days to present the note before the Cabinet.
The process of formation of separate Telangana state is expected to gain momentum after the conclusion of the Monsoon Session of Parliament on September 6.
