New Delhi: New Delhi: Hours after Congress candidate from Vadodara, Narendra Rawat, refused to contest elections against BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, the party fielded Madhusudhan Mistry from the same seat.
Narendra Rawat, who had been fielded by Congress earlier to take on Modi, had asked the AICC to find a suitable candidate from Vadodara.
"I was declared the Congress candidate, I have requested the high command to change the candidate and requested that Congress may declare the stronger candidate from Vadodara," Rawat said.
