New Delhi: The Delhi unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is expected to submit proof against former chief minister Sheila Dikshit in the Commonwealth Games scam to the Lieutenant Governor on Thursday.
The party is expected to ask Lt Governor Najeeb Jung to direct Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to take action against the Congress leader.
Kejriwal, who had alleged Dikshit's involvement in the scam prior to the Assembly elections, has now refused to furnish details to back his allegations.
Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party is in power in Delhi with the Congress's support. Kejriwal had, however, said that he would go ahead with the investigation into the scam unfazed by the fact that the Congress could pull out of the government, landing AAP in a minority.
The CWG scams, that cost the state coffers a huge amount, is widely considered as one of the major reasons for the debacle of Delhi's three-time chief minister Dikshit.
