Lucknow: Ever since his recent brush with controversy thanks to his alleged hate speech, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) nominee from Pilibhit Varun Gandhi seems to be much in demand with party workers in the state wanting him to be one of the star campaigners for the party for the coming Lok Sabha polls.
"Yes in the past few days, a section of the party feels that Varun Gandhi could be the party's star campaigner in the politically crucial state, which sends 80 MPs to the Lok Sabha", Hero Vajpayee, the press secretary to the state BJP
President said.
He also said that among the politicians every candidate wants the party chief Rajnath Singh to campaign for them, so that there is a long lasting impression on the voters and said, "There is a great demand for BJP's prime ministerial candidate Lal Krishna Advani from the party cadre."
Apart from this the urban voters want to have a glimpse of senior party leader and former Union minister Arun Jaitley.
"The women wing of the party feels that Sushma Swaraj could help in boosting the morale of the pary workers in the state," a party leader said requesting anonymity.
