Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh High Court has issued a notice to Congress president Sonia Gandhi's daughter Priyanka in connection with a land deal in Shimla.
This comes after an RTI petition was filed seeking information about the properties owned by the Gandhis.
Petitioner Devashish Bhattacharya, in his plea, had said that he was given details about properties belonging to Sonia and Rahul but Priyanka's details were not shared on the ground that she is an SPG protectee.
Priyanka had earlier filed a plea challenging the State Information Commissioner orders to give more information about lands purchased by her.
Petitioner's lawyer Vikram Thakur said, "Devashish Bhattacharya has raised certain issues asking that when Delhi can issue the file notings then why not Himachal government."
