177. Khandwa is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Khandwa Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Khandwa falls in Khandwa district and Malwa Tribal region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a semi-urban seat.
There are a total of 2,46,541 voters in the seat, which includes 1,27,677 male voters, and 1,18,836 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Khandwa recorded a voter turnout of 67.97%. In 2013 the turnout was 66.07%, and in 2008 it was 56.71%.
In 2013, Devendra Verma of BJP won the seat by a margin of 34,071 votes (22.54%). Devendra Verma secured 58.92% of the total votes polled.
BJP won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 25,868 votes (25.44%), registering 55.55% of the total votes polled.
