Khirki raid: AAP says 'vindicated' after Ugandan women complain of sex racket
Three Ugandan women came forward, apparently with AAP help, to file complaints against traffickers who brought them to India.

New Delhi: It may be time to enjoy the sweet juice of labour. The AAP is claiming victory in the controversial Khirki Extension raid case a day after three Ugandan women approached the police for help against sex and drug-traffickers.

A PTI report said on Monday that the women had filed the complaint with help from the Delhi government which sought intervention from the External Affairs Ministry seeking protection for the women.

The victims told CNN-IBN that they were promised jobs in India but were forced into prostitution once they landed here. The traffickers were African nationals, they said.

Ashutosh, spokesperson of Aam Aadmi Party, said, "We have been saying this from day one. We have been telling this is dangerous. I want to ask those people who have been pointing fingers, will Arun Jaitley and Narendra Modi apologise? The entire establishment must apologise to Somnath Bharti."

He also accused the police of being hand-in-gloves with the traffickers. "This was a motivated campaign against the AAP. Why did nobody take a stand? The Delhi Police was hand-in-gloves," he said.
