109. Lanji is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Balaghat Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Lanji falls in Balaghat district and Mahakoshal region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a rural seat.

There are a total of 2,30,247 voters in the seat, which includes 1,16,355 male voters, and 1,13,891 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Lanji recorded a voter turnout of 81.19%. In 2013 the turnout was 80.27%, and in 2008 it was 78%.

In 2013, Hina Likhiram Kaware of INC won the seat by a margin of 31,750 votes (19.08%). Hina Likhiram Kaware secured 47.5% of the total votes polled.

BJP won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 8,224 votes (6.04%), registering 31.2% of the total votes polled.
