Voting is underway for the fourth phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2024. In this phase, 96 seats across nine states and one union territory have gone to polls. A 24.87 percent voter turnout was recorded till 11 am. From former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav to TMC leader Mahua Moitra, this phase is witnessing several high profile candidates in the fray.

Among those who cast their vote on Monday, May 13, were actor Allu Arjun, former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav also cast his vote at a polling station in Ujjain.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged people to vote in large numbers on Monday, adding it is everyone’s duty to strengthen India’s democracy. “In today’s 4th Phase of the Lok Sabha elections, 96 seats across 10 States and UTs are going to the polls. I am sure people in these constituencies will vote in large numbers and the young voters as well as women voters will power this surge in voting. Come, let’s all do our duty and strengthen our democracy,” PM Modi posted on X (previously Twitter).

Meanwhile, voting is being held on all 25 seats in Andhra Pradesh and 17 constituencies in Telangana. Voting is also taking place in 13 seats in Uttar Pradesh, 11 in Maharashtra, 8 in West Bengal, 8 in Madhya Pradesh, 5 in Bihar, 4 each in Jharkhand and Odisha as well as one seat in Jammu and Kashmir.

Andhra Pradesh Lok Sabha Election 2024

Andhra Pradesh recorded 23.10 per cent voter turnout for the 25 Lok Sabha seats till 11 am. The seats that have gone to polls in Andhra Pradesh today are – Araku (ST), Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Anakapalli, Kakinada, Amalapuram (SC), Rajahmundry, Narsapuram, Eluru, Machilipatnam, Vijayawada, Guntur, Narasaraopet, Bapatla (SC), Ongole, Nandyal, Kurnool, Nellore, Thirupati (SC), Rajampet, Chittoor (SC), Hindupur, Anantapur, Kadapa. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Reddy’s sister, YS Sharmila is contesting from Kadapa on a Congress ticket. She is fighting againt her cousin YS Avinash Reddy of the YSRCP on the seat.

Bihar Lok Sabha Election 2024

The voter turnout in Bihar till 11 am was 22.54 per cent. In Bihar, Darbhanga, Ujiarpur, Samastipur, Begusarai and Munger are the five constituencies that have gone to polls in the fourth phase. Union Minister Giriraj Singh is seeking re-election from Bihar’s Begusarai.

Jammu and Kashmir Lok Sabha Election 2024

The union territory saw a voter turnout of 14.94 per cent till 11 am. The Srinagar seat is witnessing voting in the fourth phase of Lok Sabha election 2024.

Jharkhand Lok Sabha Election 2024

Jharkhand saw a turnout of 27.40 per cent till 11 am. The four seats voting in Jharkhand on Monday are – Singhbhum, Khunti, Lohardaga, Palamau. Union Minister and ex-CM of Jharkhand Arjun Munda is fighting the Lok Sabha Election 2024 from Khunti constituency.

Madhya Pradesh Lok Sabha Election 2024

The voter turnout in MP till 11 am was 32.38 per cent. The constituencies in MP where voting is underway in the fourth phase are Dewas, Ujjain, Mandsour, Ratlam, Dhar, Indore, Khargone and Khandwa.

Maharashtra Lok Sabha Election 2024

In Maharashtra, 17.51 per cent voting was witnessed till 11 am. The constituencies voting in Maharashtra in this phase are Nandurbhar, Jalgaon, Raver, Jalna, Aurangabad, Maval, Pune, Shirur, Ahmednagar, Shirdi and Beed

Odisha Lok Sabha Election 2024

Odisha recorded a voter turnout of 23.28 per cent till 11 am. In Odisha, four seats – Kalahandi, Nabarangpur (ST), Berhampur, Koraput (ST) – are witnessing voting on Monday, May 13.

Telangana Lok Sabha Election 2024

In Telangana, the turnout till 11 am was 24.31 per cent. The constituencies witnessing polling in Telangana are – Adilabad (ST), Peddapalli (SC), Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Zahirabad, Medak, Malkajgiri, Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Chevella, Mahbubnagar, Nalgonda, Nagarkurnool (SC), Bhongir, Warangal (SC), Mahbubabad (ST) and Khammam. Actor-turned-politician Madhavi Latha is BJP’s pick from Telangana’s Hyderabad against AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi. BJP’s Bandi Sanjay Kumar is fighting from Karimnagar, Telangana

Uttar Pradesh Lok Sabha Election 2024

UP witnessed  27.12 per cent voting till 11 am. The seats that have gone to polls in UP in the fourth phase are – Shahjahanpur, Kheri, Dharuhara, Sitapur, Hardoi, Misrikh, Unnao, Farrukhabad, Etawah, Kannauj, Kanpur, Akbarpur and Bahraich (SC). Akhilesh Yadav is contesting from Kannauj constituency in the state in this phase.

West Bengal Lok Sabha Election 2024

West Bengal recorded the highest turnout so far with 32.78 per cent voting till 11 am. The constituencies that have gone to polls in West Bengal in this phase are – Baharampur, Krishnanagar, Ranaghat, Bardhaman Purba, Bardhaman-Durgapur, Asansol, Bolpur and Birbhum. TMC candidate and ex-Indian cricketer Yusuf Pathan and senior Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary are fighting against each other in Baharampur, West Bengal. BJP has field Nirmal Kumar from the seat. Actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha has been fielded from West Bengal’s Asansol by TMC.
