New Delhi: Dismissing allegations that he abused four TRS MPs, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit's son and Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit said that he lost his cool after knowing that an MP from Andhra Pradesh was using offensive language against former Prime Minster Indira Gandhi.
"The MP from Andhra Pradesh starting abusing in Telegu. When I understood what kind of language he was using and what he said about Indira Gandhi, it obviously made me lose my temper," Sandeep said.
The clarification from the Congress leader comes after senior BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain claimed that after the House got adjourned, Sandeep Dikshit and other Congress leaders abused four TDP MPs.
"Sushma Swaraj and I have met the Speaker and raised the issue with her. I'll raise the issue in the House as well," Hussain had also said.
There seems to be no respite from the protest over Telangana with Parliament being regularly disrupted. The presiding officers of both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha had to suspend unrelenting MPs following an uproar over the issue. The Lok Sabha has been adjourned for the day after continued protests over Telangana by the MPs.
