Patna: Taking a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday said while he was satisfied with promise to usher the country into tetrad (four colour) revolution, Bihar has launched "Indradhanush" (seven colour) revolution to boost farm and allied sector.
"He (PM) is satisfied with four colour revolution. But, Bihar has gone ahead and working on seven colours 'Indradhanush' revolution under agricultural roadmap 2012-17," Kumar said in his address after presenting report card on his government's achievements in 10 years.
While addressing a function of ICAR in Patna on Saturday last, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had called for tetrad revolutions of green, saffron, white and blue to boost production in agriculture, power, dairy and fishery sector.
Kumar who was present in the function of the PM did not get opportunity to speak. But he reacted to it on Monday.
Under Kumar's 'Indradhanush' scheme of things, green represents development in agriculture, Yellow pulses, white milk production, blue fishery, golden cultivation of fruits and vegetables, silver egg cultivation and seventh red denotes meat production.
Kumar claimed development in all the above sectors. He also referred to the PM's stress on expanding scope of honey production and said Bihar was a top producer of honey in the country.
