Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday continued his scathing attack at the Opposition, saying they seemed directionless after the first three phases of Lok Sabha elections 2024. In an exclusive interview with Amish Devgan, Managing Editor, News18 UP, PM Modi said that it was clear after the first three phases that the Congress and the INDIA bloc had no way forward.
“After the first three phases, the INDI alliance is directionless. They are not being able to name their leader, they are not being able to set their agenda. They think by going against Modi, by abusing Modi, they will win. This is a big country, voter wants to know that name which will make nation’s aspirations come true and INDIA alliance has not been able to decide on that one name,” PM Modi said.
“I read in a newspaper that the INDI alliance is bringing a formula where they plan to make one PM for one year for the next five years if they come to power. How will a PM understand India in one year, what will that PM do in one year,” the Prime Minister questioned.
When asked to comment on the Opposition’s claim that PM Modi is no more talking about ‘400 paar’, he said, “I’ve said this yesterday only. The agenda of the Congress is not how many seats they will win, their agenda is to see whether we can win 400 seats or not.”
He added that there was an “aandhi” (storm) across the country and the NDA will cross 400 seats. “I have travelled across India. There is a storm and we will easily cross the 400 seat mark. The Opposition has failed even as the Opposition, how will they handle the country,” the Prime Minister said.
