Manmohan Singh also said those having divergent views should respect the verdict of Parliament.
New Delhi: Expecting Rajya Sabha to pass the Lokpal Bill on Thursday, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Wednesday sent out a veiled message to Anna Hazare saying those having divergent views should respect the verdict of Parliament.
"Legislation is the prerogative of Parliament. That is in the Constitution...it is time for those persons to take note. I hope those having divergent view will respect the verdict of Parliament," he said.
He said while Lok Sabha passed the Bill on Tuesday with substantial majority, Singh hoped the Rajya Sabha will pass it on Thursday.
"Tomorrow (it will be) in Rajya Sabha. Rajya Sabha will pass it. Then Parliament has spoken," he said.
