New Delhi: A day after anti-corruption crusader-turned-politician Arvind Kejriwal attacked Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Nitin Gadkari, accusing him of using his party for his business interests, the former continued his attack on Thursday saying if a detailed investigation was done, more truth would be exposed.
The India Against Corruption (IAC) member said, "If there is a detailed investigation, more truths will be exposed. It will show how politicians of all parties have industries and they are taking water from dams built for irrigation purpose."
Reiterating his stand against Gadkari and his business empire in connection with the irrigation scam in Maharashtra, Kejriwal said, "The fact is that the dam was built for irrigation and is being used for industry purposes."
Slamming the BJP for saying that its president was doing social work, the activist-turned-politician said that if Gadkari wanted to do social service, he could have come up with an advertisement.
Further pointing that there was no difference between the Congress and the BJP, the India Against Corruption member said, "When there is an expose against Congress, they call it petty…when it comes to the BJP, they call it petty."
"Why is it that when we spoke of Robert Vadra, Sharad Yadav and Akhilesh Yadav came up in his defence? What does this show?" said Kejriwal, adding, "Digvijaya Singh has recently said that all politicians have an understanding of not to raise voice against others’ relatives...what does this show? Is corruption not an individual issue?"
