Japiur: Former Rajasthan home minister Gulab Chand Kataria has denied all allegations of his involvement in the killing of Sohrabuddin Sheikh. Speaking to CNN-IBN's Swati Vashistha, he said investigations will prove the truth that the allegations levelled against him were not true.
"No one, no official till now and today the date is July 31 has contacted me about the Sohrabuddin case. The truth will come out soon. It may take time but it will come out," said Kataria.
Kataria admitted that he did go to Ahmedabad to enquire into the circumstances under which Dinesh MN, an IPS officer of Rajasthan cadre, was arrested.
"When an IPS officer of Rajasthan was arrested then not only I but the DGP and home secretary also went with me. We went there to enquire about his arrest and when we were informed about the case then we came," he replied when asked about the allegations made by Azam Khan, a Central Bureau of Investigation witness.
Khan has reportedly claimed that Sohrabuddin was eliminated after a Rs 10 crore deal was struck between the former home minister of Rajasthan and the state's marble lobby.
Khan shared a jail cell with Tulsiram Prajapati, who allegedly witnessed Sohrabuddin's killing and was later killed himself.
Speaking to CNN-IBN, Khan claimed that Kataria was paid Rs 10 crore by RK Marbles to eliminate Sohrabuddin, who was extorting money from the marble traders.
