Kolkata: The rift within the Trinamool Congress (TMC) seems to be deepening. According to sources, former close aide of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and TMC General Secretary Mukul Roy could be removed at a working committee meeting on Saturday.
The TMC's working committee will be meeting on Saturday where a possible revamp is likely to be discussed. Recently, Roy's son and party MLA - Subhransu, had publically indicated that his father was being humiliated by a section of TMC leaders.
Incidentally, Mukul Roy met Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in Parliament on Thursday. However, Roy said that he had not been intimated about his removal through any official channel. "I have learnt from TV channels that I have been removed," he said.
