Bhopal: Congress leader Digvijaya Singh has accused Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan of using pictures of agricultural fields in Iran and roads in Spain in his election campaign and showing them as being from the state.
Singh claimed that Chouhan is resorting to falsehood in his election campaign in a bid to show how barren land in Madhya Pradesh turned lush green during his tenure by showing pictures from Iran.
The Congress alleged that BJP had taken pictures of agricultural fields from an Iranian website. According to the Congress Party, while one of the highways shown in the said advertisement was in Durgapur in West Bengal, the other picture was from Spain.
Singh said that the Spanish road was projected as the one in Bhopal by the Madhya Pradesh government.
"Another lie from BJP and Shivrajji. We thought Narendra Modi was a feku, it turns out that Shivraj Singh Chouhan is a bigger feku," Digvijaya said.
