Two former MLAs of TDP join Congress in Andhra

Hyderabad: Two former MLAs of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) on Monday joined the Congress in the presence of Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy and Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee President D Srinivas.

Ch Mutyam Reddy (Medak) and Satish Pawar (Nizamabad) quit the TDP to join the Congress.

Mutyam Reddy is being fielded by the Congress from Dubbaka Assembly constituency for the April 16 election.

Welcoming them into the Congress, Srinivas said the entry of the two former MLAs would strengthen the party in the two Telangana districts.
