Tytler refutes talk of Congress' denial of poll ticket
There is anger in Sikh community over CBI's clean chit to Tytler, Sajjan Kumar.

New Delhi: Congressman Jagadish Tytler steered clear of the issue of his candidature becoming suspect after the shoe throwing incident in New Delhi.

“He said Dekhenge and that was very casually said. The word 'reconsider' was never used. I mean why would it be? Just because I have got a clean chit, that's why we should reconsider?” asked Tytler.

After a Congress spokesperson on Tuesday indicated that the party was open to reviewing the candidatures of Jagdish Tytler and Sajjan Kumar, there was widespread speculation on the issue.

With questions over their alleged role in the riots coming up again following the shoe hurling incident, it was being speculated that Congress may withdraw the two’s rights to contest polls on the party’s ticket, fearing further controversy.
