Sources say that infighting within the state unit has become so intense that the party high command is worried.
New Delhi: The Congress was racing against time on Sunday to pick its Uttarakhand chief ministerial candidate. Party MLAs have to decide their CM choice by Monday. State Congress chief Yashpal Arya will meet observer Ghulam Nabi Azad sometime later on Sunday.
Sources said Arya was now emerging as the front-runner for the CM's post.
Other names doing the rounds included those of MLA Indira Hridayesh and Minister of State for Labour and Employment Harak Singh Rawat.
Sources added that infighting within the state unit had become so intense that the party high command was worried.
