New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata party is happy with Uma Bharati now that the former BJP leader, who now heads the Bhartiya Janshakti Party, has withdrawn the decision to field candidates throughout Uttar Pradesh.

Her decision to withdraw all her candidates comes a day after senior VHP leader Ashok Singhal made a plea to her to bury her differences with the BJP.

Uma Bharti had been expelled from the BJP two years back for indulging in anti-party activities.

She said it's not a huge sacrifice to pull out her party's candidates from the UP polls.

“Bhartiya Janshakti Party has decided to respect Singhal's word and we think it's not a huge sacrifice to pull out our candidates,” said Uma Bharati.

The BJP is predictably happy with Uma Bharti's decision and party spokesperson Prakash Javdekar said that during elections every bit helps.

“Withdrawing candidates in this case is seen as a good thing especially since it’s in our favour,” said Javdekar.
