Yeddyurappa shocked, rushes to Mangalore
The Karnataka Chief Minister says most of the people on board have been killed.

Bangalore: Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa has rushed to Mangalore following the tragic plane crash on Saturday morning.

"It is a great tragedy. I express deep sympathy for them. About 160 people were on board. I am rushing to Mangalore by emergency helicopter," Yeddyurappa told CNN-IBN.

"It is feared that most of the people are dead," he said.

The flight IX-812, operated by a Boeing 737-800, had 166 and six crew members on board. Most of the passengers on the flight were from Kerala.

One hundred and fifty eight people died and those who survived have been rushed to the hospitals.
