People are comparing the poster with one of the most iconic magazine covers of National Geographic.

Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran are currently garnering applause for Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire. The latest project of the impeccably talented duo has been directed by Prashanth Neel. The film broke records and emerged as one of the highest-grossing films of the year. Prabhas is now gearing up for his next film Kalki 2898 AD. He recently shared the first look poster of Prithviraj Sukumaran’s upcoming film, Aadujeevitham or The Goat Life. The film’s poster has been making headlines as people drew its comparisons with one of the most iconic magazine covers of National Geographic.

In 1985, the renowned photographer Steve McCurry’s iconic image of Sharbat Gula made headlines and made it to the cover of a popular magazine. The colours and composition in the picture inspired millions of people as it was a representation of the plight of refugees.

Sharbat Gula, now a widowed mother of four, was 12 years old back then when the photo was taken. She used to live in a refugee camp on the Pakistan-Afghan border at the time when her picture was clicked. She became the face of the Afghan war after her piercing green eyes were captured in the iconic photograph. Ever since Prithviraj Sukumaran’s first look poster from The Goat Life – where he plays a shepherd — has been launched, netizens have begun highlighting its uncanny resemblance with Sharbat Gula’s magazine cover photo.

Prabhas unveiled the first look poster of Aadujeevitham or The Goat Life. Sharing the same, he wrote, “Thrilled to unveil the official first-look poster of Prithviraj Sir’s #TheGoatLife – a journey of the indomitable human spirit.” He further mentioned the film’s theatrical release date and wrote, “The tale of hope & survival waiting to be told! Experience the ultimate adventure on 10.04.2024”.

Aadujeevitham or The Goat Life’s story revolves around a Malayali immigrant labourer who is forced to do slavery on an isolated farm in Saudi Arabia. Originating in 2009, director Blessy collaborated with the story’s original author for a film adaptation, following which Prithviraj Sukumaran was brought on board.
