‘I Am Always Embarrassed While Shooting Intimate Scenes’: Anjali
Anjali said one cannot refuse to act in such scenes, as they are necessary in a film at times.

Popular South actress Anjali is known for her impeccable work in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada films. She is currently making headlines for her upcoming Tamil movie, Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai. Anjali recently had a media interaction where she spoke about the challenges behind shooting kissing and other intimate scenes for movies. Anjali opened up about her experience of shooting romantic scenes and called it uncomfortable. She said one cannot refuse to act in such scenes, as they are necessary. While shooting these types of scenes, she said that she is always worried about what her co-actor will think of her. Anjali said, “I am always embarrassed while shooting for such scenes and often find myself hiding the shyness. I know that the chemistry between two lovers is completely different from the chemistry between two actors. This makes me feel a little more embarrassed while kissing my co-actors and doing intimate scenes with them.”

Anjali forayed into the acting industry with the Telugu-language romantic thriller film Photo in 2006. Directed by Siva Nageswara Rao, the film also featured Anand and Muktha in pivotal roles. With movies like Macherla Niyojakavargam, Vakeel Saab, Bairagee, and Paava Kathaigal, among others, she went on to create a huge fanbase.

Anjali recently opened up about her marriage rumours and said, “I have many friends in the cinema industry. So the media themselves decide with whom to write about me. Earlier, they spread gossip that I was dating Tamil actor Jai. Then they said that I was married to a businessman and settled in America. I always smile when looking at this news and think that I was married without knowing it.”

Anjali’s last performance was in Malayalam-language crime thriller-drama film Iratta. It was written and directed by Rohit MG Krishnan. The film featured Joju George in dual roles whereas Anjali, Arya Salim, and Srikant Murali played the pivotal lead roles in the films.
