New Delhi: Madame Tussauds- a place where the statues of legends are immortalized in wax, is seeking to add to its collection another techie after Apple founder Steve Jobs and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
In order to zero in on whom to wax-up next in its tech leaders' collection, the museum authorities have asked the general public to help by choosing their favourites from a list of nominees.
Possible tech celebrities who could see their full-size wax figures immortalized at the museum include, Elon Musk (CEO, SpaceX), Sheryl Sandberg (COO, Facebook), Marc Benioff (CEO, Salesforce.com) , Jane Metcalfe (Co-founder, Wired Ventures), and Ed Catmull (President, Pixar Animation Studios and Walt Disney Animation Studios).
A report on re/code notes that according to the nomination form, "The nominee should have a Bay Area connection" (company location, nominee's birth place, current city, school, etc.) and that the "nominee should already be recognized as a thought leader, innovator and/ or influencer to their industry."
While Zuckerberg did not choose to sit for the arduous creation process of his figure when it was unveiled, Jobs, on the contrary, made it to the lineup in 2012 after his death.
The winner for the latest contest is expected to be announced on May 26.
