Apple iPhone 16 Series ‘Glowtime’ Launch Event Confirmed For September 9: What We Expect This Year
Apple iPhone 16 launch event is just a few weeks away where the company will talk about its AI features and other products like AirPods 4.

Apple has confirmed the inevitable iPhone 16 launch event which is going to happen at its usual schedule. Apple is hosting its big Glowtime event on September 9 where we expect to see the iPhone 16 series announced and also get a closer look at the Apple Intelligence features coming to iPhones later this year. That’s not all, we might see the new AirPods 4 and the Watch Series 10 at the same event, it adds.

Apple ‘Glowtime’ Launch Event Details: Date, Time And Where To Watch

Apple iPhone 16 launch event is on Monday, September 9 and you can tune into the big keynote with Tim Cook and Co. from 10:30 PM IST for those watching in India. Apple will be livestreaming the event on the YouTube channel and Events page. The company is hosting an in-person event where the announcements will be broadcasted.

iPhone 16 Launch Event: What To Expect

The glowtime teaser in the invite is a clear indication that Apple Intelligence (AI) will be a big part of the event hosted by Tim Cook and Co. We did see Siri activate from the edge of the screen with a glow and the AI features could be presented in that fashion.

Siri will also be getting an AI boost, which isn’t expected before early 2025. Having said that, iOS 18 will bring native integration of ChatGPT for iPhone users thanks to Apple’s deal with OpenAI which was announced at the WWDC 2024 earlier this year.

Coming to the iPhone 16 lineup, rumours suggest the regular model could get a design rejig, especially at the back with the camera module. However, the Pros will mostly pack the new A-series hardware that will also bring AI features to the regular variants, something that the iPhone 15 users will miss out on.

The iPhone 16 series will be Apple’s flagship rival to the new Pixel 9 series and the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold models in the market. All three of them have a special focus on AI and that is likely to be Apple’s pitch as well, albeit at a later date, as suggested by earlier reports.

The iPhone 16 Pros should be offered with better sensors and a new colour variant called Desert Titanium is also being tipped to be part of the series this year. We’ll be also seeing the bigger Apple Watch Series 10 model along with the Watch Ultra 3 likely to be introduced. The AirPods 4 will be an interesting addition and we are hoping Apple gives them some notable upgrades.
