Asus teases Zenfone 2 India launch; coming soon
The Asus ZenFone 2 is the company's new flagship phone that features a 13-megapixel rear camera, and a 64-bit Intel Atom Z3580 processor with 4GB RAM.

New Delhi: Asus seems to be all ready to introduce its new Zenfone 2 smartphone in India. While there is no information on the launch date yet, the company is expected to bring the phone to India in the first week of April.

Asus India country manager Peter Chang in an interview with IBNLive early this year had said that the company would bring the phone to India sometime between April and June. And the teaser note now issued by the company hints at the imminent launch of the Zenfone 2.

The teaser note sent by the company to the members of media reads, "Asus to yet again disrupt the Indian Smartphone market soon with Zenfone 2. Taking on Samsung S6 and Apple's recent launches, the device features 2.3GHz Intel Atom processor with 4GB RAM."

Taking a dig at Xiaomi, OnePlus and other smartphone makers who make their phone available under flash sales, the company says the phone will be available under open sale and buyers will not need to wait for flash sales or invitations.

Unveiled at CES 2015, the Asus ZenFone 2 is the company's new flagship phone that features an all-new design, 13-megapixel PixelMaster camera, and a 64-bit Intel Atom Z3580 processor with 4GB RAM.

The phone has a brushed-metal finish and concentric-circle detailing. It has a curved case that tapers to an incredibly thin 3.9 mm at the edges. It comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS+ screen with an ultra-narrow bezel that reduces ZenFone 2's overall size.

According to Asus, its 3000mAh battery provides more than enough power to get through the day, and it also features fast-charge technology for dramatically-reduced recharge times.

We are expected to get more information on the India launch plans on Friday.
