New Delhi: There have already been rumours around a smaller OnePlus smartphone, and now a set of leaked renders seem to be adding more weight to them.
Chinese website Mobile-dad has released two images of what it claims are of the upcoming OnePlus smartphone. Speculations are rife that the company is working on a mini model of the OnePlus 2, but there is no official information on the same as yet.
If the leaked renders are believed to be true, the phone, which would be the third OnePlus phone, will have a design different from the first two handsets. From what can be inferred from the purported 'OnePlus 2 Mini' images, the phone would have round edges - unlike the angular ones on the existing OnePlus smartphones.
While the front of the phone doesn't show any major design change, the rear features a design nowhere close to the OnePlus One or OnePlus 2. The leaked images show an Apple Touch ID-like fingerprint scanner at the back. Also, the back has a dual-camera set up with two LED lamps beneath camera sensors. The speaker grill is located at the bottom. And the phone appears to have an all-plastic body.
Rumours suggest that the company would not pack high-end specs in a smaller form factor, the 'OnePlus 2 Mini' would instead be an affordable phone with mid-range specs.
The past instances, however, have shown that such images renders often end up being figments of imagination.
