LG Nexus 5X smartphone, which was announced for the Indian market on October 13, is now available to buy in India. The phone, which goes on sale in India starting today, is priced at Rs 31,990 (for 16GB) and Rs 35,990 (for 32GB).
According to LG, the Nexus 5X will be available at both online and offline stores and for this month only the 16 GB model will be sold online. The 32 GB variant, however, will be only available at retails stores in October. From November, as Amit Gujral, marketing head, LG Mobiles, India, said, both models will be available both online as well as in brick-and-mortar stores.
The Nexus 5X, which is the third Nexus device manufactured by LG in collaboration with Google, will be sold online via Amazon India.
We wish the company had also introduced the 64 GB variant for the Nexus 5X, which comes only in two variants 16 GB (for Rs 31,999) and 32 GB (for Rs 35,990). When we asked Amit Gujral as to why the company didn't announce the 64 GB model, he said, that with the cloud storage options available, the company found no reason to go beyond 32 GB. Given that the South Korean giant has the 64 GB internal storage in its latest V10, the answer didn't really appear convincing.
The phome running Android 6.0 Marshmallow features fingerprint sensors, and includes the newest USB Type-C reversible port for charging and output.
The LG Nexus 5X a 5.2-display screen and the same 12.3 megapixel camera and Type-C port as the Nexus 6P. But it has a 5 megapixel shooter at the front.
