OnePlus has announced an open sale for its new flagship smartphone - the OnePlus 2 - under which consumers will be able to buy the OnePlus 2 smartphone without invites. The sale, however, will remain open for only an hour.
"On October 12, OnePlus and Amazon India will be opening up the sale of the OnePlus 2 for an entire hour from 12:00 to 1 PM sans 'invites,'" says OnePlus in a blog post.
This will be the first open sale for the OnePlus 2 smartphone ever since the phone went on sale back in August. The phone, so far, has been available to buy via invites.
The OnePlus 2 sports a 5.5-inch full HD display and has a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2.1 processor combined with 4GB RAM.
Priced at Rs 24,999 (for 64 GB), the phone comes with a 13 megapixel rear camera with sensor pixel size of 1.3 microns, which the company says is 35 per cent larger than standard smartphone cameras.
On the power front, the OnePlus 2 draws its juice from a 3300mAh battery as against the 3100mAh battery in the OnePlus One. It has a wide-angle 5 megapixel front-facing camera.
