OnePlus 5 Gets OxygenOS Update: Game Stutter, Sound Leak Fixes; EIS For 4k And More
OnePlus has rolled out the latest OxygenOS 4.5.8 update for its OnePlus 5 smartphones. The OS update solves the game stutter issues faced by OnePlus 5 users and packs in more such bug fixes along with some upgrades.

OnePlus has rolled out its new OxygenOS 4.5.8 update to solve the game stutter issue in its flagship OnePlus 5. The last OxygenOS 4.5.7 update for the smartphone, that was launched last month, was soon withdrawn by OnePlus after a game stutter issue was found to exist in the OS version. OnePlus announced the new OS release on its blog: ?OxygenOS 4.5.7 was withdrawn, we are pushing out the incremental roll-out of OxygenOS 4.5.8 OTA for the OnePlus 5 instead.”

The new OnePlus 5 OxygenOS update comes with improvements on Wi-Fi connectivity and Standby Battery. It also updates the existing Android Security Patch. Apart from the upgrades, the new OxygenOS update carries bug fixes for the issues of game stutter, battery drain for Jio users, camera shutter sound in silent mode (for India) and the sound leaks in the speakers while using earphones. OnePlus has also added a new OnePlus Slate font in this OxygenOS update. Additionally, EIS feature for 4k recording will be supported on OnePlus 5 with this update.

Recently, OnePlus had also teased at a mystery variant of the OnePlus 5, with a new colour on the line being hinted at for the smartphone. As for the specifications, the OnePlus 5 comes with a 5.5-inches AMOLED display, covered by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and is powered by the latest Snapdragon 835 processor. It runs the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS and comes in two memory options as stated above. The optics of the OnePlus 5 include a dual primary camera with a 16-megapixel sensor and a 20-megapixel telephoto sensor that come with features like Phase-detection Autofocus and dual-LED. There is also a 16-megapixel secondary camera with f/2.0 aperture. The smartphone runs on a 3,300 mAh battery and weighs 153 grams. The connectivity options on the OnePlus 5 include a Dual Nano-SIM and 4G LTE support.
