NASA’s Goddard Media Studios has put together this unprecedented ultra-high definition video of the Sun. NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory takes images of the Sun every 12 seconds in 10 wavelengths of ultraviolet light. Each wavelength is assigned a unique colour and every images is eight times the resolution of HD video. One minute of this footage requires 10 hours of work by a team of media specialists. This video "presents the nuclear fire of our life-giving star in intimate detail, offering new perspective into our own relationships with grand forces of the solar system," says NASA.
