New Delhi: As a part of its fifth anniversary celebrations, Xiaomi has launched new products including an affordable variant of its low-cost Redmi 2, Mi Smart Scale, Mi Smart Power Strip, Mi Note (Pink Edition), and the Mi TV 2 55-Inch variant.
The Redmi 2A is an even cheaper version of the budget Redmi 2 smartphone and is priced at CNY 499 (appoximately Rs 6,000). While the new phone looks identical to the the Redmi 2, it is engineered with a different quad-core processor.
The Redmi 2A's specs include a 4.7-inch HD (720x1280 pixel) IPS display, 8GB of internal storage (expandable up to 32GB), 8-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front shooter, and a 2200mAh battery. Its dimensions are same as the Redmi 2.
Priced at CNY 99 (approximately Rs 1,000), the Mi Smart Scale is compatiable with Android and iOS Smartphones and connects with smartphones wirelessly via Bluetooth. The weighing scale, when connected to the Mi Fit app, lets you track body mass index and weight of up to 16 users, claims Xiaomi.
The Mi Smart Power Strip includes three USB ports and three power sockets, apart from a 2.1A quick charging terminal. The device carries a price tag of CNY 49 (around Rs 5,000).
Days after announcing the the 40-inch Android-powered full-HD smart TV, Xioami has now announced a 55-inch variant of the Mi TV 2. It features a a 15.2 mm ultra-thin frame and 6 mm bezel, Samsung HD 4K (3840x2160) panel, and a MStar 6A928 processor. The new smart TV costs CNY 4,999 (roughly Rs 55,000).
The last in the list of new launches from Xiaomi is the pink-coloured Xiaomi Mi Note that carries a price tag of around CNY 2,499 (around Rs 25,000). It costs a little more than the original Mi Note. The company is giving away a 5000mAh power bank along with the phone that it claims to be a "tailored edition for modern ladies."
