Are Surbhi Chandna And Karan Sharma Planning A Baby? Here's What We Know

Surbhi Chadna recently tied the knot with her long-time partner Karan Sharma on March 2 at Chomu Palace in Jaipur. Now, just a month after their wedding, the couple is already facing the typical follow-up question: “When are you planning to have kids?”

Recently, the actors responded to this question during an interview with Filmygyaan. When asked about their plans for kids, Surbhi dismissively said, “It’s just a month since we got married, and you are asking about kids.” She further added how her role in the Colors TV show Sherdil Shergill shaped her perspective on parenthood.

Surbhi said, “I did a show ‘Sherdill Shegill’ where they made me a mom to a little baby. He was genuinely very cute. But, then I also realised that let’s be honest, we have to think about age, and a lot of other factors. So mera uss perspective se dhyan vahan jaata hai (so due to that perspective, I think about it). Right now we want to enjoy our life and explore other things together.” Karan light-heartedly chimed in and said, “We have our baby also,” referring to his pet dog.

Before getting married Surbhi Chandna and Karan Sharma dated for 13 years. The couple met at Karan’s birthday party, hosted by his family. Since Karan and Surbhi’s mothers were friends, Surbhi also attended the birthday bash. At the time, both Karan and Surbhi were doing MBA. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Surbhi said that she was instantly charmed by Karan’s playful nature. A day later Karan reached out to Surbhi and both started talking. Soon their friendship turned into dating.

Even as Karan and Surbhi climbed the ranks of TV shows like Ishqbaaaz, Qubool Hai, Udaariyaan and Sasural Simar Ka 2, their relationship remained away from public life. Many lauded the couple for managing to keep their romance under wraps for so many years, despite the proliferation of paparazzi and gossip columns.

Surbhi revealed that most of her fans knew about their relationship even if it was not officially announced. She said, “Everybody kept asking how did I do this. Because you’ve done such successful shows and people are curious to know. I had given enough hints and my fans already knew,” shared Surbhi. Karan added, “The industry friends knew.”
