Hitten Ttejwani Takes A Break From TV, Focuses On Debut Gujarati Film
Hitten Ttejwani discussed his new film project and shared that he stepped away from small screen to explore opportunities in OTT and regional cinema.

Actor Hitten Ttejwani, known for his work in TV, OTT and films, has been delighting fans since joining the entertainment industry over a decade ago. After his recent appearance in Pashminna – Dhaage Mohabbat Ke alongside his wife, Gauri Pradhan, which ended in March this year, Hitten has taken a brief hiatus from television. However, he’s been busy working on his debut Gujarati film, Sanghavi & Sons, in Ahmedabad. In a recent chat with ETimes, Hitten discussed his upcoming project and reassured fans that he hasn’t stepped away from the small screen. He plans to return to TV after exploring opportunities in OTT and regional cinema.

In the same interview, the actor also praised Ekta Kapoor for giving a boost to his career. Hitten said, “I haven’t quit television, but have taken a small break. I want to explore OTT and regional films.” Talking about the film, he added, “Shooting for this film has been a great experience. I am still learning Gujarati. I can understand the language, but while speaking there are some grammatical errors. I have always received a lot of love for my TV shows and so, I am excited about how Gujaratis would react to my D-Town film.”

Further, Hitten Ttejwani took a moment to thank Ekta Kapoor for providing him with impactful roles, which helped him become a household name. He explained that Ekta’s trust in him has been a key factor in his success. According to him, Ekta used to approach him with new opportunities and he was always eager to accept them. The actor highlighted that their strong professional relationship is built on mutual trust and faith.

The actor also spoke about the time when he had no choice but to decline working in films. He said, “I didn’t have the scope to switch mediums earlier. I would get calls for films but had to refuse them because while doing daily soaps, it is difficult to commit somewhere else. I have heard instances where a casting director would think of me, and the makers would say, ‘TV chalu kar ke dekho, ye yahan hain’.”

Meanwhile, for his last show Pashminna – Dhaage Mohabbat Ke, Hitten Ttejwani reunited with his wife Gauri Pradhan on television after eight years.
