Watch: Munawar Faruqui Expresses Gratitude As Paps Says ‘Shaadi Mubarak’

Comedian and Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui recently got married to makeup artist Mehzabeen Coatwal in Mumbai. The wedding was an intimate affair and was attended only by their family members and close friends. On Tuesday, Munawar attended the Entertainer’s Cricket League (ECL) 2024 event in Mumbai where the shutterbugs congratulated him.

Several clips and pictures of Munawar Faruqui from his recent outing have emerged online. In a video, the BB 17 winner could be seen holding a bat and posing for the camera. “Thank you,” he said as paps stationed at the event congratulated him.

Earlier this month, Munawar Faruqui confirmed the big news. In the video, the comedian is seen leaving a building as paparazzi stationed outside congratulate him for his wedding. He is seen blushing and replies with a “thank you”.

Recently, the first photos of the newly married couple went viral on social media in which they were seen cutting cake together. In the pics, Munawar wore a white shirt paired with brown pants. While his wife Mehzabeen looked beautiful in a purple sharara suit.

Soon after the news about their secret marriage went viral, fans were curious to know about Munawar and Mehzabeen’s love story. Earlier, Times Now reported that TV actress Hina Khan played cupid for both of them.

“Hina Khan introduced Munawar Faruqui to Mehazabeen. Two months ago, at an event, Hina sent Mehazabeen to Munawar for his makeup. They met for the first time at that event,” a source told Times Now. It was reported that Hina also attended their intimate marriage ceremony.

Munawar Faruqui was previously married to Jasmine, with whom he shares a six-year-old son Mikael. The two got divorced in 2022.

Munawar Faruqui first opened up about family at Kangana Ranaut’s reality show Lock Upp in 2022.

He also spoke about his son at the BB17 house. Munawar Faruqui said, “I was in a marriage in 2017 and in 2020 we got separated. Last year our divorce was finalised. Amid all this, the best thing about my life is my son. He is 5 years old and stays with me.”

“I know he is watching me. He sees everything that I post and now he will stay with me. My ex-wife got married so now my son will stay with me only. In the past 4-5 months, I got so close to him that there is no limit to that affection. He is very smart,” Munawar Faruqui added.

Mehzabeen, on the other hand, reportedly has a 10-year-old daughter from her previous marriage.

On the work front, Munawar Faruqui was recently seen in the music video Kuch Yaadein alongside singer and TV actor Suyyash Rai.
