Karan Mehra, who became a household name for playing Naitik opposite Hina Khan in popular TV show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, is ready to make a comeback on television with a new show. Mehendi Wala Ghar, will be the next major launch on Sony TV, which has delved into different genres of content and is set to captivate viewers with unique storylines. The premiere date for the new show has not been set yet. Reportedly, it will replace the reality quiz show, Kaun Banega Crorepati.
The channel dropped the first promo for the show on their official Instagram handle. The show is set in the small town of Madhya Pradesh and provides the viewers with a sneak peek into the life of the Agarwal family. The show tried to popularise the idea of living in joint Indian families, exploring the sense of togetherness that is commonly seen in this environment.

The promo is centered around the residence named Agrawal Saddan in Ujjain and sets the tone for a happy family where every member fosters love and care for each other. It also piques spectators’ interest by leaving them wondering, in the end, if the family will be able to stand unified when they face difficulties. The subtle mentions of the upcoming troubles in the lives of the family as they pray together surely made the viewers interested in learning more. It mentions that this ancestral home in Ujjain is popularly known as Mehendi Wala Ghar.
The promo features an extensive and ensemble cast of popular television actors such as Vibha Chibber, Kanwarjeet Paintal, Ramakant Daayma, Ravi Gossain, Rushad Rana, Arpit Kapoor, Gun Kansara, Khalida Jan, and Ushma Rathod.
While more updates on the new show are awaited, Etimes previously quoted a source as saying, “Karan has been roped in to play a pivotal role. Reema Worah has been cast to play his wife. The show, which is tentatively titled Mehendi Wala Ghar, centres around a joint family and explores the dynamics of their relationships.”
Karan Mehra started his career with Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and rose to prominence with this role. Eventually, he played crucial roles in series like Khatmal E Ishq, Ek Bhram…Sarvagun Sampanna, Shubharambh. He also participated in several reality TV shows like Bigg Boss 10, Nach Baliye, Kitchen Champion and others. He has also appeared in a number of music videos.
