Mahindra Group chairman Anand Mahindra is an active social media user. He often shares posts, including content that sparks meaningful conversations. However, his actions are not just limited to posting about trending topics and engaging stories but also being a part of them. One such example is the industrialist’s heartwarming gesture toward a 10-year-old boy, who sells rolls at a street-side stall in Delhi. Moved by the kid’s story, who took over the business after his father died of tuberculosis, the 68-year-old assured that his Mahindra Foundation would explore opportunities to support the boy’s education.
The incident came to light after food vlogger Sarabjeet Singh shared a video of a 10-year-old boy named Jaspreet from West Delhi’s Tilak Nagar. The video begins by showing Jaspreet’s skills as he prepares chicken-egg rolls. However, the boy’s sad story is revealed as he has been running the roll stall to support his family after his father’s sudden demise.
Impressed by his determination and resilience towards life, Anand Mahindra stepped forward to offer his support. He reached out to obtain the boy’s contact information and also expressed his intention to assist him in supporting his education.
“Courage, thy name is Jaspreet. But his education shouldn’t suffer. I believe he’s in Tilak Nagar, Delhi. If anyone has access to his contact number please do share it,” he wrote and added that his foundation will explore chances to support Jaspreet’s education.

Shared originally by the food vlogger, the video shows the boy keeping a sweet smile on his face and sharing his story. Besides revealing his father’s demise, Jaspreet also spoke about having an elder sister who is 14 and that the siblings live with their uncle in Delhi.
He kid also shared that he learned culinary skills from his father and can prepare a variety of rolls at the stall. “I am the son of Guru Gobind Singh ji. Will fight as long as I have the strength,” he says in the video.
Many took to the post’s comment section and lauded Mahindra’s helpful gesture. A user wrote, “He is not giving up.. this kid has decided to take up the responsibility & stand up for self.. His courage is inspiring which is pushing him stand during odd times.. Salute to him.. with right guidance in terms of education he will create many milestones,” while another commented, “Well done sir. This kind of philanthropic activities are highly laudable. Apart from Mahindra, others have also come forward to help the boy including BJP leader Tajinder Bagga and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Jarnail Singh.
