Bengaluru Man Claims His Cab Driver Earns Rs 3,000-4,000 Daily. Internet Reacts

With Ola, Uber, Rapido, and other cab providers flourishing in India, there is a growing demand for cab drivers in the market. Now, a Bengaluru man has shared a glimpse of his conversation with a cab driver. The man said that he was shocked to know the cab driver’s earnings. During the conversation, the man found that the driver was earning around Rs 3,000–Rs 4,000 a day.

In the post, shared on Reddit, he wrote, “So, I was coming back from a function today, and I booked a cab. While chatting with the cab driver, I asked him about his earnings. He mentioned that he makes around 3000 to 4000 per day. I was shocked! If he makes 3000 per day and works for 25 days a month, that totals to 75,000 per month. He added that even after deducting petrol costs, he still has enough money.”

In the post, the person also mentioned that because of the driver’s earnings, he has been able to send his children to good schools in Bengaluru. Apart from that, he also mentioned that the driver has another cab that gives him additional income. The driver further shared that he started the journey in 2019 after he lost his job.

Reacting to the video, a user wrote, “75k is less for that sort of painful job. A lot of these guys are not sane. The exhausting nature of the job affects them… also no matter how much you love driving , I doubt after sitting in a corporate office for many years one will be able to drive a cab in Bangalore.”

Another commented, “It’s a lot of hard work. Plus, these cab drivers usually don’t calculate vehicle depreciation properly. ”
