A career as a voiceover artist may be exciting for creative individuals who enjoy using their voices. To successfully portray emotions and captivate listeners, an exceptional artist must have good articulation, adaptability in diverse roles, a dedication to their craft and most importantly, creativity. This time, a voiceover artist’s video went viral, leaving many stunned. It displays her amazing ability to mimic the voiceover of well-known advertisements including that of Delhi Metro announcements. The responses given by those listening to her offer another level of interest to the video.
Actor and voiceover artist Aditi Sharma is seen sitting in a packed room on a chair at the start of the video. The audience gasps as she starts to show off her skill. They applaud and clap furiously as she finishes.
The overlaying text read, “When you meet a voice-over artist for the first time.”
The caption accompanying the post read, “Hey Alexa, let’s do a collab reel together!”

The video has over 70 million views on the social media platform.
Swiggy Instamart was quick to comment on the reel saying, “Aesi awaaz ke liye konse paani se garare karne padte hai? (For a voice like this, which water should be gargled with?)”
Another user said, “She at that moment was the biggest celebrity on the planet for them.”
“She literally has dubbed India”, read another comment.
Sharma’s Instagram bio states that she is from Mumbai. With her voiceovers for several commercials and announcements, her social media pages are replete with amusing videos.
She even turned to the comments section to discuss her feelings about her viral video, claiming that it was completely unexpected and that she never anticipated people to respond this way. She expressed gratitude that everything was recorded on camera.
Last year, voice actors all across the world came together to protest the unauthorised application of artificial intelligence (AI) to produce and clone human voices, which they believe endangers their jobs.
The United Voice Artists alliance was established by over 20 voice acting guilds, groups, and unions from Europe, the US, and Latin America, with the campaign motto “Don’t steal our voices.”It stood for the anonymous narrators and voiceover actors in video games, audiobooks, motion pictures, and advertisements who worried that AI would eventually replace their voices or even clone them without their permission.
