In Shocking Video, E-Rickshaw Driver Drags Man On Road After Being Accused of Theft

The punishment for any crime is often harsh. While the perpetrators are mostly at the receiving end of the punishment, sometimes even the victims are engaged in an ugly spat. It is important to confront thieves or others who commit all sorts of crimes while keeping in mind that they do not land themselves in trouble. Recently, a video surfaced on the internet that shows a man being brutally tortured for apparently calling out a thief stealing gas cylinders.

The viral video was shared on Reddit. It showed a man being dragged by an e-rickshaw driver. The man had reportedly accused the driver of stealing gas cylinders. When confronted, the driver resorted to violence. Suggestively, the incident was recorded by another commuter who followed them on a bike. The man was seen holding on to the end of the rickshaw in order to not fall headfirst on the road. While it is not known where this brutal incident took place, the man was later seen asking for help from the people nearby. The video shocked many users, and people were enraged at the driver for pulling this act.

Meanwhile, recently, another crime involving a rickshaw driver was reported from Assam. As per a report by The Assam Tribune, the incident occurred during the Bihu celebrations when an e-rickshaw driver attempted to abduct a juvenile girl in Guwahati. According to the publication, the girl was on her way to Guwahati’s Chandmari Field for a Bihu performance in the vehicle. However, the e-rickshaw driver did not stop at the designated destination and instead brought her to the Geetanagar area. Fortunately, the girl understood the intention of the driver and began shouting. This reportedly alerted the locals, and she eventually hopped off the rickshaw. Furthermore, the locals apprehended the e-rickshaw driver and took him to the Chandmari Police Station.

In yet another violent incident recently, a 48-year-old autorickshaw driver was reportedly killed and two other passengers were seriously injured after a carelessly driven car collided with the auto in New Delhi. Reports suggest that the police arrested the accused on the spot and began an inquiry into the matter. The complaint was filed by one of the passengers, who was travelling with his wife.
