Aakash Dharmadhikari, the co-founder of AI platform Realfast, is planning to leave Singapore and return to Bengaluru. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), he shared the surprising reason behind this unexpected move. He highlighted that he wants to expose his daughter to “uncertainties of life” which he believes are lacking in Singapore’s “too perfect” surroundings.
“Partly we are shifting to Bangalore to get my daughter used to the uncertainties of life. Singapore is just way too perfect, and we thought it’s making her soft. Unfortunately we also had forgotten what the Indian chaos feels like.. turns out we have also become soft,” he wrote on X.

However, Aakash revealed that his decision to shift back to his homeland wasn’t just about his daughter. He added that a big part of it was his longing for the conversations he had with former colleagues in Bengaluru.
“To be clear – this wasn’t the primary reason for us though, I was missing the eccentric and passionate conversations I routinely have in Bangalore. I wanted to work with people I worked with here the past decade, I was missing that in Singapore,” he wrote.
