A video of a mysterious, unidentified animal walking at the Rashtrapati Bhavan during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s grand oath-taking ceremony went viral on social media. The event was attended by 8,000 guests including foreign heads of state and other dignitaries, industrialists and film stars.
The viral footage, which was recorded at the time when BJP MP Durga Das Uikey was greeting President Droupadi Murmu after completing the oath procedure, shows a cat-like animal walking over in the background.

Some social media users suggest it is a leopard, while others believe it to be a security dog or a pet animal. The video clip was widely shared along with various theories about the animal’s identity.
“LMAO..is it edited or what? How come no one noticed this? Looks like a big cat,” said one user. “Seems a damn leopard due to tail and gait. People were really lucky it peacefully passed,” commented another.
Modi Oath-Taking Ceremony
President Droupadi Murmu on Sunday administered the oath of secrecy and office to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and 30 Cabinet ministers, five Ministers of State with Independent charge, and 36 Ministers of State. Portfolios of the new ministers were yet to be announced till late tonight.
Narendra Modi was sworn in as prime minister for a record-equalling third term, heading a 72-member Union Council of Ministers that emphasized continuity, youth and experience while also rewarding partners in the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance government.
Along with Modi, senior BJP leaders including Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, Nirmala Sitharaman and S Jaishankar, all ministers in the Modi 2.0 cabinet, took oath as cabinet ministers at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
There were bugles, ceremonial guards, flowers and all the trappings of a grand spectacle at the oath-taking ceremony at the forecourt of the Rashtrapati Bhavan that lasted 155 minutes. Nearly 9,000 people from all walks of life were estimated to be present for the grand event that began at 7.15 pm.
