Real estate tycoon Becky Fatemi was born in Britain. Despite facing significant challenges and personal losses in life, Becky’s positive mindset made her successful. Today, let’s take a look at her inspiring life journey. Becky’s resilience serves as a beacon of hope for anyone going through the tough times. She had a difficult childhood. Becky was born in Iran in 1976. Her dad was a pilot, and her mom had multiple sclerosis. Her dad was often away for work, so Becky ended up going to a boarding school in London. Growing up wasn’t easy for her. Her dad’s job kept him away, and her mom’s illness made things even harder. Becky had to learn to be independent from a young age. She went through a lot during those early years.
But the problems in the family didn’t stop there. According to reports, Becky’s dad’s cheating made things even worse, causing her mom to move to London with Becky’s sibling. Thinking back on her childhood, Becky remembers lots of arguments at home and her dad being mean to her mom. Even with all the chaos, when Becky was just 15, she decided to leave home. That was the start of her journey to becoming an entrepreneur.
Initially, she got a job at McDonald’s, where she had to clean toilets. During a podcast chat with AB Clancy on the series Exhibit A, Becky shared openly about her struggles. She said, “My loved ones were dying right in front of me.” She also spoke about the tough times she went through when her boyfriend battled drug addiction and tragically took his own life at just 27. Besides, Becky faced a tough situation when her mother passed away. Later on, her father’s demise also disturbed her. Looking back on these losses, Becky often blamed herself and felt like she didn’t deserve to live.
Despite facing a huge loss, Becky found hope and became even stronger. She built a real estate empire worth Rs 86,000 crore from nothing. Becky started her business when she was eight months pregnant.
Becky’s real estate business is now in many countries. Looking back on her journey, she says being healthy and happy is important for success.
