Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, despite retiring over a decade ago, continues to inspire millions worldwide. Fans everywhere still go to great lengths to catch a glimpse of the Master Blaster, often captivated by his mere presence. This was evident during Tendulkar’s recent visit to Jammu & Kashmir, where amidst the snow-clad landscapes of Pahalgam, he encountered a deeply moved fan.
In a now-viral video, the emotional fan expressed his overwhelming admiration for Tendulkar, his idol, recalling how he even authored a book about the cricket icon. Reflecting on the day of Tendulkar’s retirement, the fan revealed he spent the entire night in tears, unable to contain his sorrow. “Jis din aapne retirement liya aapne do aasu bahaye lekin maine puri raat aasu bahaye,” he told Tendulkar in the heartfelt encounter, expressing the profound impact the cricketer had on his life. Meeting his idol was a dream come true for him, and he described it as one of the best days of his life.

Tendulkar’s visit to Jammu & Kashmir was filled with memorable encounters. In addition to his heartfelt interaction with the fan, he also visited a bat manufacturing facility in Pulwama district. Accompanied by his wife Anjali and daughter Sara, Tendulkar made a pit stop at MJ Sports Factory in Chersoo Pulwama, en route to Pahalgam, along the picturesque Srinagar-Jammu National Highway. Continuing his exploration, he visited the Martand Temple in Mattan before heading towards Pahalgam.
Furthermore, Tendulkar extended his best wishes to the upcoming fourth edition of Khelo India, slated to commence on February 21st.
