This Boulder On Norway's Kjerag Mountain Is Sure To Test Your Bravery
Kjerag, also known as the Majesty of the Lysefjord, is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Norway.

The main draw to Norway is its breathtaking natural beauty. Whether it’s the Aurora Borealis or vast fjords, the country is any traveller’s dream. These natural attractions are, to say the least, quite popular. While valleys, rivers, and mountains are common tourist pullers, a boulder in Norway has become the centre of attraction thanks to its unique placement. Trapped between two giant rocks, the boulder is placed above a deep abyss.

Kjerag, also known as the Majesty of the Lysefjord, is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Norway because, despite its stunning appearance, it is rather simple to reach on foot without the need for special equipment.

An Instagram video shows individuals leaping on the boulder, with some crawling on it and others jumping on it. The boulder is suspended in midair between two hilltops and people just cant get enough of it.

The video has more than 7 million views on the social media platform and the users are having a virtual panic attack (not really) after watching this.

A user commented, “I’m having a panic attack from my couch.”

Another user declared, “Couldn’t pay me millions to do that. Do people not cherish life?”

A third user said, “I already fell just by watching from my screen.”

“Watching this gave me so much anxiety, I had to lay on my flat floor just now,” read another comment.

Meanwhile, a user humorously noted, “Knowing my luck, the rock will fall with me.”

Many users in the comments section were enquiring about the death rate on this boulder.

The boulder, known as Kjerag Bolt or Kjeragbolten, is thought to have become wedged between the two stone faces at some point around the last ice age, about 50,000 B.C.

According to Go Fjords, the boulder is confined over a 984-meter-deep chasm (3,228 ft.). The rock is a 5-cubic-meter glacial deposit jammed in the mountain’s crevice.

Even though the rock is perched over a 984-meter chasm, those who enjoy pushing their boundaries and taking breathtaking pictures don’t let that stop them.

Due to Kjeragbolten’s immense popularity, there is often a large queue of visitors waiting patiently to take a picture with the boulder or participate in BASE jumping during the busiest travel season.
