As the world is moving forward, so is the education system. Do you know young people are even being taught about love these days? A lecturer from China is making headlines on social media, in his classes of love for young women. As per the reports by South China Morning Post, the lecturer belongs from a prestigious university in China. He is going viral for taking a course on “psychology of love.” Gong Li, Lecturer at the East China Normal University in the School of Geographic Sciences, is gaining attention online for his instructions on love in the mentioned course. According to more information, it is a public elective course, which can be taken by all the undergraduates. The duration of this course is 36 hours and students can earn two credits easily, which makes it a popular option among the students.

Some images taken by the students show the kind of instructions he is giving to the female students on the topic of having babies. He states that women should voice their desire to have babies out loud and told them “from a genetic perspective, a woman’s greatest attraction to a man is her ability to bear children.”

According to him, makeup enhances attractiveness in the eyes of men; however, it should be applied in such a way that one appears younger. He emphasised on a woman’s physical fitness, saying it makes her appealing as well as improves reproductive health.

Naturally, the course faced backlash for its objectifying views on women. A student from the 2022 batch of the course told the media that the lecturer teaches objectifying and stereotypical female views in his class. They added that he teaches “girls how to increase their sexual attractiveness and please men.” Another student said that the course is popular because it gets the students easy credits.

According to a university announcement on March 13, that week’s class was suspended and it was informed that the future sessions will be taken by the staff of School of Psychology and Cognitive Science.
