Everyday’s mishaps and ignorance towards people makes it look like there is no sense of humanity left in the world. Now a video that challenges this bleak perception is raking in likes on social media. The undated video shows a group of bystanders helping a driver reload his bananas after his tempo was overturned and a load of bananas fell across the road. The people picked up the fallen fruits and arranged them into the loading crates instead of using the opportunity to steal the fruits. An X (Formerly Twitter) user Hatinder Singh shared this clip on Thursday. This clip has over 1.9 lakh likes and thousands of comments.
While sharing this undated video, Singh wrote, “A Tempo Carrying Bananas Overturned On Airport Road Of Sri Amritsar Sahib, Passersby Youngsters Stopped And Helped The Truck Driver To Collect All The Racks Of Bananas. Proud Of Youth Of Punjab. Moral – Never Take Advantage Of Others In Distress.”

Praising the efforts of the bystanders, a person wrote, “Great to see youth stepping up to help in times of need! Let’s always strive to lend a helping hand and support those in distress. Community Spirit.”
Offering a less optimistic view, another mentioned, “It was bananas. What happens if it was a liquor laden truck?. You might think I am making fun, but I am dead serious and I think even you know what would happen.”
In addition, a person shared a clip, reportedly taken in Uttar Pradesh, that showed people stealing broiler chicken from a scene of an accident, and wrote, “An accident happened in UP. One of the vehicles involved in the accident was carrying live chickens. The people witnessing the accident were more interested in looting chickens.”
Earlier this month, Kawaljeet Singh, a resident of Ludhiana, won hearts after he bought a whole stock of fruits from an elderly street vendor.
