A video that shows a baby hitting their father for snoring too loudly is amusing netizens around the world. The video was taken on night camera footage of a family in China’s Guizhou Province. It shows a baby trying to sleep in between mother and father. At some point in the night, the toddler crawls up to the snoring father’s face and slaps him right across the face before crawling over to the previous spot and sleeping. Later in the night, the toddler again moves towards the dad and this time lands a punch on his face. The father winces in pain and wakes up as the mother breaks into a laugh.
This undated video was posted on YouTube by Newsflare on December 22, 2023. Commenting on it, a YouTube user wrote, “Babies can sleep like rocks too, that must have been brutal for the kid to decide to step in."
Another person wrote, “Omg that’s priceless. I had to watch it twice. So even babies can’t ignore the snorer. I don’t know how anyone can. My dad used to snore like thunder and I could hear him across the hall even with doors closed. I would shove tissue in my ears when I went to bed. Man that’s the most annoying sound ever. Good baby."
Someone commented, “People snore for various reasons, and it doesn’t justify finding pleasure in slapping someone who is asleep. Snoring may be due to underlying medical reasons, a normal routine, or other factors. However, it’s advisable for babies not to sleep with their parents and instead have their own crib."
In 2017, a woman went viral for mixing her husband’s loud snores into the hit song Despacito by Puerto Rican singers Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee. The clip was edited in such a way that they matched the upbeat tune of the Despacito. Before sharing the fun clip in which her husband snored, the woman explained, “I’ve been recording my husband’s snoring for the last four years, after mixing it in a special way with my nephew’s help, this came out. Enjoy it!"

This video soon went viral across social media. However, many people commented that the man’s snoring looked like he might be suffering from sleep apnea. Commenting on the video, a Reddit user wrote, “Seriously, he needs to be checked for sleep apnea. Wearing a CPAP is no fun (going on 9 years for me), but I sleep so much better now. So does my wife."
